tasks AND Job responsibilities:
» Responsible for answering incoming calls and directing calls to appropriate staff
» Obtaining patient demographic and verifying insurance information
» Obtaining necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines and significant Use guidelines for electronic medical records.
» Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patient, etc.
» Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPAA compliance).
» Schedules any necessary appointments after completion of patient visit.
» Monitor and review patient schedules for office appointments.
» Other tasks as assigned.
» Must have at least 1-year Medical VA/Medical Receptionist or related practice
» Must have excellent oral and written English expertise
» Strong Nursing/Medical background
» practice in utilizing EMR/EHR
» practice in managing calendars and setting up appointments
» Familiarity with Insurance Verification
Nice to have:
Bilingual expertise (Spanish)
